Prepared By: Minister/Pastor Patrick R. Curry Sr.
1. Purpose and Foundational Mandate
The purpose of this policy is to establish the spiritual, financial, and behavioral standards that govern the operations, leadership, and membership of The Affairs of Christ International Ministry (TACIM). This policy ensures that all activities align with the ministry's core mission: the restoration of every individual member, spiritually and financially, reflecting the conduct and compassion of Jesus Christ as documented in Holy Scripture.
2. Scope and Biblical Authority
This policy applies to all TACIM members, staff, volunteers, and leaders.
* Ultimate Authority: Every individual Believer, as well as the Ministry itself, is governed by the policies, scriptures, laws, and beliefs contained in the Holy Bible. In the event of a conflict between any ministry guideline and scripture, the scripture will always take precedence.
* Leadership Accountability:
All ministry leaders and administrators are held to the standards of character and conduct explicitly implied within the Holy Scriptures (e.g., 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1), and are governed thereby.
3. Core Ministry Philosophy (The Affairs of Christ)
TACIM’s ministry is defined by two core tenets drawn from the example of Christ:
A. The Behaviour of Christ (Evangelism and Outreach)
TACIM is mandated to embody the behaviour of Christ by actively seeking out and ministering to those outside the traditional confines of the church building.
* Evangelistic Mandate: We are empowered and required to evangelize by actively seeking out the ostracized, poor, sick, weak, and all people deemed "lost" or "rejected," who may never travel to a building on a Sunday (Luke 19:1–10).
* Christ-like Transformation: While we welcome all individuals to "come as you are," we believe that through the consistent teaching of God's Word, a transformation into Christ-like character is expected over time (Matthew). For those who are "born again," demonstrating the Behaviour of Christ should be second, if not first, nature.
B. The Love of Christ (In reach and Service)
The Administration Board and staff serve as an in reach ministry provider, to the membership, operating as a 'Servant of Christ'.
* Commitment to Love: The standard of love within TACIM is defined by Christ’s sacrifices (Romans 5:8; 1 John 3:16). We are called to lay down our lives for the brethren, which translates into an active service-oriented approach.
* Inclusivity: TACIM welcomes all individuals regardless of age, gender, or race, based on the strong theological belief that all men, women, and children are created equally in the image of God.
4. Financial and Material Policy (The Book of Acts Model)
TACIM is committed to practicing in the spiritual and financial restoration of every individual member, following the example of the early church described in the Book of Acts.
A. Tithing, Offerings, and Distribution
* The ministry receives tithes and offerings to fund its operations and mission.
* The ministry is committed to distribute to the needs of the saints (members) as the Holy Spirit directs, ensuring that all members are equally cared for and that none are lacking.
B. Accountability
* The Administration Board is responsible for the diligent and accountable oversight of all ministry funds to ensure they are distributed according to this policy, with priority given to supporting the ministry's outreach and meeting the needs of the saints.
